Throughout the 5-day unit, students will focus on identifying the setting and understanding how the main character and setting work together in a story. Lessons include interactive discussions, anchor charts, and response activities that build comprehension step by step.

Students will also read a paired nonfiction text about eagles, strengthening their understanding of the topic while making connections across texts.
