Reading and writing are intertwined and can be worked on hand in hand in an engaging and meaningful way! Students need to generalize their reading comprehension skills to effectively use it in their writing, which is why I created this resource to help you better achieve this skill.

This freebie includes a foldable with different options of comprehension (story elements, sequencing, summary), both in English and Spanish. It also includes a summary writing craft that has a bubble map with guiding questions to help those struggling with summarizing structure, a practice sentences worksheet in which students will turn their ideas into complete sentences, and a final draft worksheet with a coloring topper that can be used to display student’s work.
