Educators and homeschool parents: If you're looking for a planning guide for Black History Month then you will love this resource from Patrice Jenkins! It's filled with rich stories that your scholars will love! The resource includes:
- Pre-Made Black History Planning Guide with read aloud links, art activity and discussion questions.
- Blank Black History Planning Guide with read aloud links, art activity and discussion questions.
From Patrice:
Here’s how I use the resource in my classroom; in January before I start planning for February I gather all my read alouds that I’d like to incorporate in my classroom. Next I use the planning guide to type in the books, art activities and discussion questions I want to use. Since I own the books on the template I included I read the stories and separate them by the weeks. I also include a black history fact of the day I tell my students before I read the books. Let me help you make things easier this month… plan your read alouds ahead of time so you are able to add projects, discussions and assignments for your class!
