Combine Halloween creativity with meaningful geometry practice using this Shape Frankenstein 2D Shapes Math Craft!
Students create their own Frankenstein using different 2D shapes, then complete the included recording sheet to identify the shapes used and determine the number of sides and vertices for each one. The finished Frankensteins also make a fun Halloween or October math display.
Students work with shapes such as circles, ovals, triangles, rectangles, trapezoids, pentagons, hexagons, parallelograms, and octagons as they create and analyze their Frankenstein.
This Halloween math activity works well for whole-group math, math centers, independent practice, early finishers, or a seasonal geometry review. Once complete, display the finished Shape Frankensteins for an easy Halloween math bulletin board!
Perfect for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms practicing 2D shapes and shape attributes.
