Give students extra practice counting coins and finding the value of a collection of money with this Halloween math center!
In Money for the Mummy, students count collections of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters to determine the total amount shown. After choosing the correct answer, students record their work and then practice adding an additional coin to find a new total.
Use this Halloween money activity for 2nd grade math centers, small groups, independent practice, partner work, or counting coins review. It's an easy way to add seasonal practice to your money unit without changing the skill you're already teaching.
