About this resource

Turn place value review into a celebration with this three-digit number Balloon Pop game! Place the included review cards inside balloons for students to pop and solve. The cards can also be used without balloons as task cards during math centers, partner work, or small-group instruction.

The cards include a mix of place value and number sense skills to help students review three-digit numbers in a variety of ways.

Students will practice skills such as:

Ordering three-digit numbers
Comparing numbers
Identifying hundreds, tens, and ones
Determining the value of a digit
Representing numbers with base-ten blocks
Making groups of tens and hundreds
Counting forward from a given number
Applying place value understanding

This activity is designed for second or third grade and works well as an end-of-unit review, whole-group game, or classroom number celebration.
