Take your students from passively consuming technology to actively interacting with content through tech! Here are 3 ways to make technology meaningful in your classroom, without adding too much to your plate.
- Use what you already have! Take the activities you already have and easily turn it digital. Take a screenshot of your activity recording sheet (or use the blank recording sheet in the freebie below) and upload it as a background on your digital platform of choice.
- Give students choice! Technology gives students the freedom to show what they know in the way that works best for them. Allow students to choose how they respond to an assignment. They could write, type, make a video, record their voice, create a song, or take a picture. The possibilities are endless.
- Keep it simple! Find which digital platform works best for you and your students (Apple Keynote is my personal favorite) and give them (and yourself) time to explore. You don’t need fancy templates or activities.The technology lends itself to instant engagement and easy differentiation.
