Parts of Speech Pencil Craft

Students create their own pencil while demonstrating their understanding of nouns, adjectives, and verbs. On the pencil, students write a word and/or draw a picture for each part of speech. Then, they use all three words to create a complete sentence on the eraser.

This activity combines grammar, writing, and a hands-on craft into one meaningful learning experience.

Ways to Use This Resource

• Introduce nouns, verbs, and adjectives during whole-group grammar instruction
• Display the posters as visual references throughout your parts of speech unit
