Encourage students to become thoughtful readers with Edward the Emu by Sheena Knowles. This Rooted in Reading unit focuses on making predictions, revising thinking throughout a text, and using evidence from the story to confirm predictions.
Students will learn how strong readers use clues from both the text and illustrations to anticipate what might happen next and adjust their thinking as they read.
