Dive into a week of reading, vocabulary, grammar, and meaningful literacy instruction with Fry Bread by Kevin Noble Maillard! This Kindergarten Rooted in Reading book unit provides 5 days of lesson plans and activities designed to help young readers make text-to-self and text-to-world connections.

Throughout the week, students will connect the story to their own lives and the world around them, explore different kinds of bread from around the world, and share what they learn while developing comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and language skills.
