Honor those who have served with this Veterans Day Directed Drawing and Writing Activity! Students follow step-by-step directions to draw a veteran in a camouflage uniform, then share how we can show gratitude for our veterans on the coordinating Thankful for Our Heroes writing page.

Pair it with a Veterans Day read aloud or class discussion for a meaningful November activity. Completed drawings and writing also make a thoughtful display or a card for a veteran in your community.
